SCHEDULE
DAY 01 – MONDAY. BOGOTA / VELLOUSSEA THEMATIC PARK / CAÑO CRISTALES, OR ASSIGNED PLACE.
We meet at 06:00 a.m. at Entrance 9, International Deck (2nd Floor), El Dorado Airport, Bogota, .D.C, to take the flight to Javier Noreña Valencia, in La Macarena Municipality, State of Meta. There, environmental authorities will give us a briefing; then we take a tour along Guayabero river to Velloussea Thematic Park, where we find an open ceiling art gallery on a natural path, which includes works made by using the old technique of ‘terracotta’ (cooked soil). This is a scenario where, through art we may learn history and culture of La Macarena Municipality. LUNCH.
We continue our journey through a natural path to reach Caño Cristalitos, where we shall hold hour first encounter with such magic colors and crystalline water. The perfect scenario for lovers of art and photography. Return. DINNER, and lodging.
DAY 2. TUESDAY. LA MACARENA / CAÑO CRISTALES. Breakfast. The journey starts at 6:00 a.m. Today we visit the Gods River “Caño Cristales”; we take a boat to sail Guayabero River for about 20 minutes; then we take a 4x4 truck on a rough road, surrounded by exotic landscapes and vegetation. LUNCH. We go hiking on a path previously assigned by environmental authorities, were we enjoy Caño Cristales, its crystalline water, and thousands of colors. In the evening, we participate of a ‘parrando llanero’, a cultural exchange event to enjoy joropo (a traditional dance of the region), and llanera music, an agreeable moment, interacting with folklore, gastronomy, and llanera music. DINNER and lodging.
DAY 03. WEDNESDAY: LA MACARENA - DEL SILENCIO LAGOON
BREAKFAST. We start our journey through Guayabero River which takes us to vereda “La Cachivera”. There we take an ecologic walking to a special site for lovers of ecology and environment,
named the “lagoon of silence”, this is a mysterious ecosystem which hosts a diversity of fish, birds, and reptile. A place full of life and extraordinary landscapes. A journey on dark water of lagoon of silence leads us to appreciate such beautiful landscapes.
Return to the airport to take the flight back to Bogota.
The Earth is not a legacy from our parents, but a loan from our children. Let’s procure that our journey for the planet leaves a green print on our path. Before printing this message, please, make sure that it is necessary to print it.

¡To take into account: The Tour to Caño Cristales on the first day, depends on the number of tourists that may visit the path per day, this activity is controlled by environmental authorities. It is worth to make clear that if there is not capability on the path for tourist entrance on the day of our visit, there are available alternatives such as Lozada and Guayabero River sightseen. Visits season to Caño Cristales is available only during rainy season, therefore, flights may be sometimes delayed, avoid stressing for this cause; Caño Cristales colors will reward your patience. Keep your camera with proper batter and memory capability; each day is special to achieve excellent pictures. Attend Guide´s recommendations, and be kind to environment. * the llanero party may be presented any afternoon during the plan!.
CLAUSES OF RESPONSIBILITY AND CONDITIONS
NOTE: In order to ensure reservation, deposit US300 per person; and full payment 30 days in advance to initiate the tour. * Cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 30 days before the proposed date of initiation, will result in loss of the deposit, if cancellation is made within 15 previous days, including day 15, shall result in loss of the whole amount deposited in the Agency. Any loss of flight due to emigration delay, problems related to documents, loss of domestic flight connections is under sole responsibility of the passenger.
